Nearly Strikemaster Season

Looking for the ultimate gift for that ice angler in your life, no better time then now to get them the gift that will allow them to catch more fish, a Strikemaster Auger. Glens Army Navy or www.glensoutdoors.com has a great selection. I would highly recommend looking at the 8-10 inch Lazer mags, these things cut through the ice like butter and make my time drilling much less work and allow me to spend more time fishing~ Check them out today, you and that ice angler will not be dissappointed!

Ice updates

Still not much ice at this point. MAny of the small lakes have some but with the recent snow, many of them are slush covered and by the sounds of it we are going to add more snow over the next few days. We need some cold nights before many of the larger lakes lock up and we will need some very cold weather to get those smaller-slush covered lakes froze. We will keep you updated as things change. Please do not head out just yet, the ice will come!

Ice update 11.19.2010

Still not much ice in the area, but if we get a few more calm nights in the next week, I would expect most area lakes to freeze. Many of the little lakes had ice on them in the AM this week, but by afternoon, most are open with rippling water. We will keep you updated as we close in on ice season. Get those Strikemaster, Vexilars and postables ready, it’s about game time again!

Have a Great Thanksgiving~ Stay posted for ice updates.
