Winnie Update
The shallows from 6-12 feet continue to be the best bet for those frisky walleyes.
We have continued to pull spinners with crawlers and pull the #4 Salmo Hornets to find the best action.
The spinners have been very good in the hammered gold and Hot perch color combination while trolled at 1.2 to 1.5 MPH. While fishing these in the 6-12 foot of water we are using the 3/4 to 1 oz bottom bouncers. Hang on because they about pull the rod out of your hand.
AS for the Salmo #4 Hornets, we have found the Viking, Blue Dace, Hot perch and Pearl Orange to be the best options. Again we are trolling with about 40-60 foot of line at 2.0 MPH.
Look for these high speed tactics to work best for at least another few weeks to a month.
